Walia Art Classes

Three key elements are fundamental for me:  Light, Story, Beauty. 

And my working methods honor the ideal of that inspiration: Most of my art is based on working directly from life

and always grounded in the fundamentals of classical art. I draw and paint the live model and study figure anatomy. 

I continually paint the still life from life and particularly enjoy painting both the figure and still life.

I reference art of the Masters–both historical and contemporary–and have visited many of the art museums.

The natural world– its light and beauty and the stories told–is the stage.  I am the audience.
